Who has qualified for the World Cup?
Qualification is almost complete for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
Just five more places are up for grabs at football's biggest tournament which starts on 9 June, with 27 out of 32 teams having booked their places
Qualified teams: Germany, Argentina, Japan, Iran, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Angola, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Holland, Poland, England, Croatia, Italy, Tunisia, Portugal, Ecuador, Paraguay, Costa Rica, France, Sweden, Serbia and Montenegro.
EUROPE
Qualified automatically: # Germany (hosts) # Croatia # England # France # Holland # Italy # Poland # Portugal # Serbia and Montenegro # Sweden # Ukraine
Play-offs: First leg (12 November) Spain v Slovakia Switzerland v Turkey Norway v Czech Rep
Second leg (16 November) Slovakia v Spain Turkey v Switzerland Czech Rep v Norway
SOUTH AMERICA
# Argentina # Brazil # Ecuador # Paraguay Uruguay - the fifth-placed team - go into a two-legged play-off with Australia, who beat the Solomon Islands in the Oceania qualifying final, on 12 and 16 November.
ASIA
# Japan # Iran # Saudi Arabia # South Korea Bahrain beat Uzbekistan on away goals in their play-off after scores finished 1-1 after two legs. They will play Trinidad and Tobago for a World Cup place.
CONCACAF (North and Central America and Caribbean)
# Costa Rica # Mexico # USA Trinidad and Tobago will face Bahrain in a two-legged play-off for a place in Germany.
AFRICA
# Angola # Ghana # Ivory Coast # Togo # Tunisia
OCEANIA
Australia beat the Solomon Islands 9-1 on aggregate in their two-legged play-off. They will play Uruguay in a play-off on 12 and 16 November.
